In a nutshell: what to do within ‘format and tools’

Questions and suggestions

Not only are good OERs openly licensed, but they are also technically open. This means that their format allows for easy remix. OERs should also be designed in such a way that they can be used as accessible as possible. In this category, we look for suitable formats for the planned materials.

We invite you to take the following steps:

  • Please read the post on OER formats if you need basic information.
  • Reflect on the format in which you want to create OER and whether this format allows other people to easily re-use the content you have created. Write a blog post about your reflections (and tag it with your city)
  • If you haven’t decided on a format yet and/or want to learn about a very good OER tool, check out the post about H5P. Consider whether this tool could be suitable for your OER creation.

If you have any questions, we are happy to help. We welcome comments on the published articles, also from externally interested people.
